6 weeks to 72X your meditation 🧘

Most meditators are in a trap.

In this trap, they meditate for 20 minutes in the morning then hope they feel that calm, reassuring feeling of wellbeing the rest of the day.

Problem, is they don’t feel good the rest of the day. Because nothing they do at 6:40 AM has the power to guarantee how they feel at 6:40 PM.

If this sounds familiar, it’s okay. I spent a lot of time in this trap (and I’ve never met a practitioner who didn't).

In this letter I’m going to explain to you how to get out—and stay out—of that trap (and dodge the other common ones too).

The Unique Challenges of the 21st-Century Truth-Seeker

I’ve spoken with hundreds of meditators who face the same problems.

In addition to the one I wrote about above, they—

🔹 Feel uncertain whether they’re practising correctly
🔹 Feel unsure how to deal with the contradicting views among spiritual teachings
🔹 Struggle to stay consistent (and worry this will delete the progress they’ve made)
🔹 Fail to determine what makes the difference between the ups and downs in their practice
🔹 Feel disillusioned with worldly life (but unable to lock in the spiritual happiness they’re supposed to rely on next)
🔹 Doubt mindfulness can work for them at all
🔹 Worry that natural wellbeing (AKA awakening; enlightenment) might be impossible for them

If you relate to any of these problems, that’s only because you’re human. And the people who teach meditation are human, too.

Because they’re human, many of these teachers still carry an unspoken assumption, which is that we’re all broken and we need fixing.

I wrote in detail about that assumption in my last letter to you, but I’ll give a brief recap here.

A FLIP OF PERSPECTIVE THAT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

School (and probably your parents) trained you to believe you were born broken and must do all kinds of things to fix yourself.

Later, you found a spiritual teaching, which told you no! You’re perfect as you are! But then, again, told you to do all kinds of things to fix yourself (i.e. go on long meditation retreats or do strange rituals).

Now, that spiritual teaching is better for you than the typical worldview... But it’s not freedom.

As long as you have to do anything in order to be okay you’re making your wellbeing dependent on things being a certain way.

Good news: this is all bullshit. It’s based in a deep fear that things won’t be okay if we just leave them alone; that we won’t be okay if we just leave ourselves alone.

But they will, and we are.

I know this sounds too good to be true because that’s how it sounded to me the first time I heard it. But slowly, carefully, I proved it to myself.

Once I’d done that (and after a long journey of refining my understanding) I started teaching other people how to prove it to themselves.

I showed people of all ages and backgrounds how by simply relaxing—allowing things to be as they are—they could—

🔹 Leave their codependent relationship
🔹 Overcome lifelong stage fright
🔹 Make peace with miscarriage
🔹 Consistently rank #1 at work
🔹 Stand up for themselves
🔹 Deal with panic attacks
🔹 Dissolve social anxiety
🔹 Ditch antidepressants
🔹 Stop suicidal ideation

My mission is to provide this guidance to 1 billion and 1 people.

But I knew I'd never achieve this goal teaching one-to-one.

So I looked to modern developments in education...

Welcome to The Education Renaissance

Education as we've known it all our lives was developed during the industrial revolution.

To state the obvious: it's outdated.

🔹 There’s no reason for you to be in a particular location anymore
🔹 There’s no reason for you to learn from a teacher you don’t like anymore
🔹 There’s no reason for you to have your learning judged on a single exam anymore

Good news: things are beginning to change.

This is exciting enough regarding mainstream education, but it gets even more so regarding training in wisdom practices.

SURVIVAL OR SPIRITUALITY?

My first encounters with most of the ideas I write about came from ancient texts.

My favourite was written by a 14th-century Tibetan master who lived in the mountains.

To get teachings from him would’ve been effectively impossible for you or me if we were living back then.

Even if you happen to be a Tibetan, just hearing about this guy would probably have been unlikely unless you were a) living nearby or b) really into spirituality. And the sad truth is you’d likely have been way more concerned with basic survival.

If you’d had the good fortune to know about this master—and even if you’d lived nearby—there still would’ve been a substantial trek between you and his cave... And no guarantee he’d have been there when you arrived.

Even if you knew about this master...

Even if you lived nearby...

Even if you made the trek...

And even if he was home when you arrived...

It wasn’t a case of just being like “hey, teach me.”

There were a lot of other students in line and certain social dynamics to respect—you had to pay your dues if you wanted to get the goods.

Basically, before the internet we were all a bit fucked.

But now…

THERE IS NO "INNER CIRCLE"

My first teacher was instructed to leave the monastery he’d lived in for 8 years to teach the inner-circle secrets over Skype.

With free, easy distribution of information there’s no reason to hang onto old rituals around these teachings.

I learned from my teacher one-on-one and it was tremendously beneficial.

But then the next student would call him up, and the next, and the next, and my teacher would be unable to speak by the end of the day.

The problem of access had been solved, but now the bottleneck was the teacher's vocal cords.

Meanwhile, giant leaps were being made in a new format of education that was leveraging new internet-based software.

The modern “cohort course” was born. And it’s shockingly effective.

Cohort-based courses often see completion rates of over 90% compared to self-paced courses which have completion rates as low as 3%.

So I started to wonder…

Could I serve the wisdom that used to require mountain treks in a cohort-based format—without sacrificing any of the benefits my students had gotten in the one-to-one format?

It turns out I could…

Introducing: Mindful 24/7

Mindful 24/7 is a 6-week program commencing on Sunday 2nd of April.

It's designed to teach you everything you need to know to realize natural, effortless wellbeing as your default mode. And you'll do it with a group of like-minded truth-seekers who are on the same journey, at the same time.

It begins with the most profound wisdom teaching ever transmitted. It’s been called many things. I call it the “introduction to natural wellbeing”...

WEEK 1
SUN
VIDEO CALL: INTRODUCTION TO NATURAL WELLBEING
MON VIDEO LESSON: WELCOME & COURSE OVERVIEW
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: SIMPLE MINDFULNESS
WED ASSIGNMENT: DAILY PRACTICE + JOURNAL SUBMISSION
THU ASSIGNMENT: REFLECTIONS ON INTRO TO TRUE NATURE
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, WEEKLY REVIEW

If you’re able to fully integrate this teaching on first encounter, you’ll have no further need of guidance. But that’d make you a rare individual indeed—because I’ve never heard of that happening.

Everyone who hears this teaching has some degree of resistance or objection to it (due to 20+ years of conditioning into the typical way of seeing things.)

So I’ll spend the rest of week 1 learning about where you’re stuck. Then I'll make personal recommendations on how to get you unstuck. I’ll also give a simple guided mindfulness practice, which you’ll enjoy and journal on daily.

Finally, I’ll take your questions on a live call with the rest of the community (but don’t worry—it’ll be recorded, and I’ll take pre-submitted questions from those who can’t attend).

WEEK 2
MON
TEXT: HOW TO MAKE WELLBEING YOUR DEFAULT MODE
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: INTEGRATING FUNDAMENTALS
WED TEXT: PERSONALISED RECOMMENDATIONS
THU ASSIGNMENTS: MINDFULNESS HACKING 1, IRL SUBMISSIONS 1
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, WEEKLY REVIEW

Next, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the Mindful 24/7 approach.

I’ll take you deeper in understanding—

🔹 The difference between meditation and mindfulness (and why the former is ultimately unnecessary)
🔹 The real benefit of mindfulness (and why it’s worth dedicating yourself to)
🔹 The true nature of reality (and why everyone’s faulty assumptions about it lead to depression, anxiety and dissatisfaction)
🔹 The predicament you’re in as a 21st-century truth-seeker: why it’s been so tough for you and how you can leverage your unprecedented advantages

I’ll then give you another guided practice—this time integrating the fundamentals you’ve been reading about.

Having learned about how you received the introduction in week 1, I’ll now make personalised recommendations to you on how to let go of your attachments and start to relax into natural wellbeing.

You’ll also set up the first in a series of practical “mindfulness hacks” to begin bridging the gaps in your practice—all toward the goal of relaxing into natural meditative stability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the rest of your life.

Next, we’ll begin one of the most important parts of this course. I’ll ask you to begin submitting challenging real-life situations so I can teach you how to use mindfulness to navigate them with ease.

We’ll again round the week off with live Q&A.

WEEK 3
MON
TEXT: HOW TO ENJOY AND ENHANCE YOUR PRACTICE
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: ENJOYMENT, ENHANCEMENT
WED VIDEO LESSON: MINDFULNESS IRL SOLUTIONS 1
THU ASSIGNMENTS: MINDFULNESS HACKING 2, IRL SUBMISSIONS 2
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, WEEKLY REVIEW

By now you’ll have some momentum in the Mindful 24/7 way of doing things and so your information diet will begin to get lighter.

I’ll take you deeper by teaching you how to bring curiosity, ingenuity and experimentation into your practice.

I’ll give another tailored guided practice for you to use as support, and I’ll give the solutions to your submitted challenging life situations.

You’ll continue your daily practice but you might start to ease off on the journaling here—as long as I’m getting updates on the cool shit that’s happening for you (and any challenges that arise).

You’ll increase the level on that mindfulness hack you set up, bringing more mindfulness to your daily life. And you’ll submit another challenging life situation for us to review next week.

We’ll finish again with Q&A—it’s vital we stay in touch so I can keep pointing you in the right direction.

WEEK 4
MON
TEXT: HOW TO BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR PRACTICE
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: WALKING (SECLUDED)
WED VIDEO LESSON: MINDFULNESS IRL SOLUTIONS 2
THU ASSIGNMENTS: MINDFULNESS HACKING 3, IRL SUBMISSIONS 3
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, WEEKLY REVIEW

By week 4 you’ll be grounded enough in what I’m teaching for me to hit you with some “slant learning”. Slant learning is the method of using different perspectives to challenge or support another.

In this case, I’ll summarise thousands of years of teachings on mindfulness from different cultures to give you more confidence in the way we’re doing things together.

Next, your formal practice will get an upgrade. Until now, you’ll have been practising quietly in a distraction-free environment. But here we’ll take your practice out into the world. I’ll give a guided practice on this that you can take with you.

I’ll give guidance on more of your submitted real-life situations, and we’ll do even more to close the gaps in your day-to-day mindfulness practice.

Q&A will wrap up the week as usual.

WEEK 5
MON
TEXT: HOW TO CLOSE REMAINING GAPS IN YOUR PRACTICE
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: WALKING (PUBLIC)
WED VIDEO LESSON: MINDFULNESS IRL SOLUTIONS 3
THU ASSIGNMENTS: MINDFULNESS HACKING 4, IRL SUBMISSIONS 4
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, WEEKLY REVIEW

In week 5 I’ll explain two powerful techniques that can bring you all the way to round-the-clock mindfulness.

You’ll introduce even more stimuli to your formal practice as you take it out in public (guided practice audio to take along for the ride as usual).

Other assignments will ramp up again, and we’ll hit another Q&A.

See a pattern here? This course is front-loaded, meaning it’s most intense at the start—where you need an info dump to get going. You can digest this information over as long a time as you need.

WEEK 6
MON
TEXT: HOW TO REALISE WELLBEING RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW
TUE GUIDED PRACTICE: ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
WED VIDEO LESSON: MINDFULNESS IRL SOLUTIONS 4
THU VIDEO LESSON: HOW TO BE MINDFUL 24/7
FRI VIDEO CALL: Q&A, CELEBRATION, NEXT STEPS

By this time, congratulations will be in order. You’ll have successfully completed the most effective guide to natural wellbeing I’ve encountered in 8 years of study. Here I’ll share the most powerful technique in my toolkit, which dissolves all dualistic boundaries.

NOTE: this stuff can sound overwhelming, but don’t worry—this course is not a race to the finish line. Rather, it’s everything you need to get to the finish line in your own time. Support will always be available after the course finishes.

Following written explanation, I’ll give a guided practice on the above technique.

We’ll finish the final round of real-life mindfulness applications, then I’ll bring everything together with a summary explanation of how to be Mindful 24/7.

Finally, I’ll take any final questions, ask you some of my own, and then we’ll celebrate your achievements! 🥂

At this point you’ll have all you need to realize that peace, clarity and happiness I’ll have been banging on about for 6 weeks.

You’ll have made one of the most wholesome investments of time, energy and resources you’ll ever make. And if you’ve understood even 1% of what’s been presented, you’ll be radiating mutual benefit like never before.

Everyone in your life will be truly fortunate to have you around… And you’ll be ready for anything.
